Abstracts
The deadline for abstract submission is February 15, 2006.
The content of the abstracts will be the basis for acceptance of papers for presentation as a part of the ICCT 2006/Calcon 2006 program. The abstracts should be submitted using the abstract-submission form below. IMPORTANT: The abstract-submission form will only accept ASCII characters, and will not accept equations. If your abstract contains equations or special symbols, they will be lost when you paste your abstract into the form. However, in order to accomodate the most common cases of special symbols, namely superscripts, subscripts, and Greek letters, you can insert them into the form using a special (simple) syntax explained in a one-page PDF document: "How To Insert Symbols". If you feel you must use either other symbols, or equations, then you must submit your abstract as an MS Word file, as an e-mail attachment, using only US fonts (including symbols from any US font subset such as Latin-1 or Basic Greek), and you must precisely follow the specifications in the following document: abstract-format.pdf. Abstracts that do not conform to this format will not be accepted! Abstracts submitted using the online form will automatically be formatted to conform to these requirements. Two MS Word files containing example abstracts are also available for download: abstract1.doc and abstract2.doc. (Note that they open up at 50% size - simply resize to 100% to see them clearly. These are the example abstracts shown in the format specifications, abstract-format.pdf, linked above.) Note that superscripts used to denote author affiliations are inserted automatically when you use the form, so no special handling is required.
We strongly recommend that you avoid including equations or using
non-ASCII symbols in your abstract. Figures are not allowed in
abstracts.
If you cannot use the online form, please send your abstract to the ICCT 2006/Calcon 2006 program email address ICCTProg@boulder.nist.gov as an attachment. The main e-mail to which the abstract is attached should indicate:
Poster Sessions may be held as part ofthe ICCT 2006/Calcon 2006 program in order to limit the numbers of parallel sessions. Posters and oral presentations will receive equal recognition as Conference contributions. Prospective authors are asked to indicate whether a poster presentation or an oral presentation is preferred. The organizers will attempt to honor requests for each type of presentation, although the assignment of sessions may necessitate changes. Information on this subject will be included in the acceptance letters to be sent in early 2006.
