AWARDS

The Rossini Lectureship Award

This highly esteemed award, which is made by the IACT, is given in recognition of a significant contribution to the field of thermodynamics. It is presented every two years at the Biennial IUPAC Conference on Chemical Thermodynamics, when the recipient delivers the Rossini Lecture.

The winner of the 2006 Rossini Lectureship Award, selected by the Board of Directors of IACT is Professor Alexandra Navrotsky of the University of California at Davis.

IACT Doctorate Awards

The International Association of Chemical Thermodynamics (IACT) has established awards for scientists younger than thirty years of age.

2006 Recipients of the IACT Doctorate Awards are:

Ms. Elena Asabina
Nizhni Novgorod State University, Nizhni Novgorod, Russian Federation

Dr. M. Fulem
Institute of Chemical Technology, Prague, Czech Republic

Dr. Yauheni Paulechka
Belarussian State University, Minsk, Belarus

Ms. Jing Xu
Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway

The Award winners will present their papers at the 19th-ICCT.

IUPAC Poster Prizes

Two or three prizes may be awarded. The selection of the prize winners is to be determined by the Conference organizers.

Each prize winner will receive a certificate, signed by the IUPAC President, a copy of the Gold Book and a two year’s subscription to Chemistry International.
